Seattle Historic
Residence
Tasked with a brief unlike any other, we evolved the atmosphere of a historic Seattle landmark to evoke the mood of a "haunted mansion." Beyond the aesthetic challenge, the homeowners required a strictly sustainable and vegan sourcing model. The result is a high-contrast, ethically conscious sanctuary that honors the neoclassical bones of the home while pivoting toward a deeply personal, Victorian-inspired environment.

The project required a radical redevelopment of the second floor. We reconfigured a dated six-bedroom layout into a suite of specialized environments, including an expansive artist studio and a dedicated dressing room. With structural engineering and Landmark Preservation Board approval, our team converted excess bedrooms into a primary bathing suite featuring an antique tub positioned under newly integrated windows.
In keeping with the ethical goals of the clients, the curation is almost entirely composed of vintage and secondhand finds. We layered bespoke vegan textiles and rustic elements against the historic architecture to create an eclectic, textured mood. From the hidden secondary laundry to the reimagined den, every inch of the home was recalibrated to support the creative lifestyle of the owners while maintaining a commitment to sustainable, circular design.
