Vibrant Modern Interior Design | High-Rise Condo | Seattle, WA

This bold and playful Seattle high-rise condo interior marks the third home we’ve designed for this vibrant, expressive client. Located in the heart of downtown, the space offers panoramic city views—but its original beige-on-beige palette didn’t reflect the energy of the surrounding skyline or the client’s lively personality.

Our goal? To create a modern urban retreat full of color, character, and custom details, where every corner feels inspired by the rhythm of the city.

Color is the lead character in this condo redesign. We curated a layered palette of vibrant tones grounded in desaturated hues, creating a balanced yet exciting visual rhythm throughout the home. Each space is designed to feel dynamic yet cohesive, drawing the eye from room to room without overwhelming.

As soon as guests enter, they’re immersed in bold cobalt blue, which wraps both walls and ceiling for a cocooning, immersive feel. A custom-colored, sandblasted mirror introduces the home’s creative energy, while a dimensional walnut console adds richness and warmth. The cobalt ceiling flows into a white hallway, adding a surprising moment of continuity and color storytelling.

The Great Room takes full advantage of the condo’s walls of windows and panoramic skyline and water views. Two custom area rugs mirror the curves of the architecture, transforming structural columns from design challenges into sculptural focal points. Curved elements repeat throughout, including a rounded dining table and chairs, a sectional with a curved back, round layered coffee tables and a show-stopping striped lounge chair that captures the home’s playful sophistication.

Once an awkward nook with great views but little purpose, the Breakfast Room now shines as a small-space design triumph with an iridescent statement table that reflects light and color throughout the day, a melted-glass orb chandelier that glows softly overhead on a dimmer, and Hot pink dining chairs that electrify the space against cobalt walls. This has become the client’s favorite room — a jewel-box moment with city views and fearless color contrast.

The Media Room is a deep, calm escape; wrapped in desaturated blue walls for a cozy, cinematic vibe. Pops of bright yellow in artwork and accessories add a spark of energy, keeping the space in tune with the home’s vibrant palette while offering a slightly moodier contrast.

In the Primary Bedroom, the energy softens. Here, we focused on calm, comfort, and craftsmanship. The cobalt story continues with a color-washed door and feature wall transitioning to a lighter blue tone with vintage walnut brutalist nightstands and dresser to add character and texture next to an upholstered velvet bedframe. We filled in a once-awkward architectural bump-out to streamline the layout, and added playful artwork to connect the room to the condo’s overall sense of personality. The result is a room that feels both serene and deeply personal—a true urban retreat.

This Downtown Seattle condo was transformed from bland and beige into a vibrant, high-rise haven. It's a perfect example of modern colorful interior design — bold yet balanced, polished yet playful. Every design choice was made with the client's adventurous spirit in mind, creating a home that celebrates individuality, aliveness, and city living.
