Arch Cape

Beach House

Located along the rugged coastline of Arch Cape, Oregon, this modern sanctuary was designed as a serene getaway for a multi-generational family. The primary goal was to create a home that felt elevated yet remained entirely functional, easy to maintain, and comfortable for frequent use. We focused on a palette of soft neutrals and natural walnut to bring warmth to the modern architecture, using blue and black accents to provide a sophisticated sense of contrast throughout the interior.

  • To honor the coastal setting, the view remained our top priority. We arranged the majority of the furniture to face the water at all times, incorporating swivel pieces to ensure the landscape is always accessible. In the living room, a custom blue rug was designed with a specific rounded corner to resolve the fireplace placement and draw guests into the seating group. We also collaborated with a local maker to transform a fallen tree from the property into a one-of-a-kind coffee table.

Strategic material choices were made to support an effortless lifestyle. In the high-traffic beach room and bathrooms, we utilized large-format floor tiles and full slabs of porcelain limestone to eliminate grout lines and maximize durability. We even integrated a custom dog-wash station in these same finishes, tailored specifically to the owners and their pets. The home is anchored by high-end systems and custom furnishings, including Henrybuilt storage solutions and a Waterworks freestanding tub that was personally sit-tested for comfort. The result is a highly personalized refuge where every detail serves the family’s ease of living.
