Downtown

Seattle High-Rise

Marking our third collaboration with a long-term, expressive client, this Seattle high-rise was transformed from a neutral developer envelope into a high-energy urban sanctuary. The design serves as a study in saturated color and geometric rhythm, trading a muted beige palette for an unapologetic use of cobalt, magenta, and citron. Every room is composed to reflect the pulse of the surrounding downtown skyline while maintaining a sense of refined, sculptural order.

  • The interior is defined by an immersive use of color that begins in a cobalt-wrapped entry and flows through the public and private quarters. In the great room, we utilized custom radius rugs and curved furnishings to soften the glass and steel architecture, transforming structural columns into sculptural focal points. This focus on functional art continues into the breakfast room, a reimagined jewel box featuring an iridescent statement table and a melted glass orb chandelier set against deep blue walls and electrified by hot pink dining chairs.

The color storytelling carries into the media room and primary suite, where the palette shifts toward desaturated blue tones and vintage walnut textures. To streamline the layout, we filled in awkward architectural bump-outs, allowing the primary bedroom to function as a serene and textural retreat. We curated the entire environment by sourcing and commissioning all of the artwork from local galleries and independent artists, ensuring every piece felt deeply connected to the client. From the custom-colored sandblasted mirrors to the intentional art selection, the home is a polished yet playful celebration of individuality and city living.
